Pictures..
Ok, I am a bad dad. I have been hearing from some of my friends that I have not been sending out any pictures of my son. So, I am going to post some here at the blog.
I will start posting them periodically from now on. Just be patient as I have a day job, and four consulting jobs going on simultaneously. This is my first weekend off from not doing anything at all work wise since mid-August.

HAPPY 6 MONTH BIRTHDAY DOMINIC!!!!!
Today is my son Dominic's 6-month birthday. As a first-time father (except for the baby we lost during pregnancy) I cannot believe the changes he has gone through. His first 6-weeks were very tough, he had some problems. I never saw today back then.
It is something else to see how happy of a baby he is. Everyone (strangers in restaurants) comments on how alert and happy he is (and he is a big-time flirt). Tonight, at his favorite restaurant Mr. C's, we were asked if he ever cry's. He does, but only when it is bedtime, or he is hungry. It has been quite a ride.

An Old Friend....so to speak
About 5 or 6 years ago my friend Nancy turned me on to this website, www.oddtodd.com, and it is F'ing great. I had not been there for a while. It is the on-going story of a man and his unemployment. If you have never been unemployed, you can completely relate.
It is a cool website that continues to stay fresh with its' content. I have been unemployed for an extended period of time twice, and I lived this the first time. Check it out if you ever get a chance.

Remember when......
You used to get up on Sunday mornings and you could not wait until ESPN would release the top 25 rankings? Well, guess freaking what, we officially are an "also-ran" in the Big XII. I remember tuning into the early Sportscenter (9:30 am) just waiting for the rankings to come out. The anticipation....then its out. We were never as high as we thought they should be, and we blamed the Big Ten, SEC, the east coast writers, pretty much everybody. Now, we can only look to Steve Pederson and blame him for using the "Nuclear Option" on Husker Nation.

There is "No place like Nebraska", especially on game day. It is an incredible atmosphere, but I guess there is only one more streak to break, the sellout streak. The last time there was not a sellout, the game following JFK assasination.

It has been a while since I updated the blog, but here it goes. Since mid-July, I got a real job, and started consulting. I have also decided to start my own research consulting business. Also, the little-man is getting big. Here he is in his Halloween costume, he was a rock lobster. When looking at it, it is best to play "Rock Lobster" by the B-52's. He is almost 6 months old, and what a trip it has been.
